{"id":1122,"date":"2015-01-13T15:40:14","date_gmt":"2017-02-03T11:53:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.puigciutat.com\/?p=1122"},"modified":"2017-03-02T13:00:21","modified_gmt":"2017-03-02T12:00:21","slug":"south-west-surveys-nos-20-21-22-and-23","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.puigciutat.com\/en\/south-west-surveys-nos-20-21-22-and-23\/","title":{"rendered":"South-west surveys nos. 20, 21, 22 and 23"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Surveys 20 to 23 had a common goal, which was to locate the city wall on the south side of the settlement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Survey 20:<\/strong> both the geophysical survey undertaken in 2010 and the electrical tomography at the end of 2014 indicated the presence of a stretch of city wall at this point. The work made it possible to locate the defensive structure of which only one level of stones has survived.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Survey 21:<\/strong> no remains of archaeological interest were found at this point. The stratigraphy seemed to respond to farm work in the area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Survey 22:<\/strong> surface observation of two walls at this point, plus the marked difference in height, suggested that the city wall might be found here.
